into the Conestoga Athletic Hall of Fame

Tony Yelovich ‘58
While playing football for
Coach Paolantonio at Conestoga, Tony was a 2-time All
Conference [ChesMont] player. He played both offense
and defense and also received All
State honors. While at
the University of
Tampa, Tony was a
two-year team captain. Tony remained at Tampa as
a graduate assistant and then went on to coach at Parsons, Tennessee Tech, Arizona and Stanford.
Tony then moved on to Notre Dame where, after serving on the Irish football
staff for eight seasons, he became an Assistant Athletic Director. Tony is a
member of the University
of Tampa Hall of Fame and
the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. For his contributions at Notre Dame, he
received an honorary monogram for the Notre Dame National Monogram Club in 2001
and in 2003 the Notre Dame Spirit Award, given by the University in recognition
of his exceptional service which has inspired others to a greater level of
achievement.
