Hi y'all...

This little update is prompted by a conversation with/from Kay in which we noted that we hadn't "talked" much lately, just sent jokes, etc... that is SO true... I was truly craving "conversation" that I decided that I would update everyone on our situation here in Patagonia, AZ...

Firstly, Ned has announced from the pulpit (so it is truly public knowledge now) that we are re-retiring after the first of the year...We DO NOT have hard and fast decisions made about where we are going, as we do not have a "home" to go to specifically... we are, as always, trusting God to show us the next home in this long line of homes in our lives... we haven't owned a home in 25 years and I am not really sure, at 71, that I want to do it now, but who knows what God is thinking at this point???? We will become "part-time" instead of "fulltime" here at January 1, so that may limit us somewhat... we will be leaving here sometime between Jan 1 and June 30, so there is plenty of time for solutions to become apparent...again, we are trusting on God’s time, as that is always perfect...

We have two specific options "on the drawing board"... one is the possibility of returning to Great Britain and the other is the possibility of going back up to Tucson... 65 miles as opposed to several thousand... the distance is not the problem, the finances are... If we are pointed to GB (Cornwall to be exact) we need to get our finances back in gear, as I just had to spend $1800 on my 11 year old car... if we go to Tucson, we need to generate a down payment on a lovely doublewide in a gated community (probably less than $10,000+) to get settled there....we are waiting and praying and we covet all of your prayers for the right answers to these questions also...

In addition, some of you are not fully aware of our relationship with a young woman (50) who has come into our lives and with whom we have fallen in love, and she with us... Yanaba (with the accent on the first A) is a member of our congregation and our first joy was in becoming her friend and then I became her Medical Power of Attorney... she has various medical challenges (epileptic and bi-polar) for which she needed assistance in keeping things straight (medically) and getting stabilized... together we have managed those things and the result is that we fell in love with each other... all three of us... she is a fabulous artist of Navajo style... she is a Navajo by birth, along with some Irish thrown in, and has had numerous shows and sales... She is funny and loving and truly Spirit led and such a joyful addition to this family... we are planning to adopt her and so we will have one more female Adams in this family...SO, wherever we go, she will be coming with us. So... some of you gain a sister, some a niece, some a new friend... she is a love!

I am happy to report that since Ned's making the announcement of re-retirement, the stresses have lifted somewhat and he is feeling better than he has... the stresses have taken a toll on his health this past year, hence the announcement, and now we are "turning our backs" on the stressors... much to their distress.... really feels good!!! Each of his medical conditions (rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes) are exacerbated by stress, so this is a very good move for him... I keep telling him that, since my mother lived to be 100+, he needs to stay well, because I am in this for the long haul!!!! I am grateful to be blessed with amazingly good health, taking NO meds whatsoever except for some Aleve now and then for the osteoarthritis, so thanks be to God for that!!!

I will end this "tome" with another request for your prayers and look forward to your responses...

love and hugs to everyone... blessings,

 Ellie & Ned & Yanaba
