In loving memory of a woman who loved her Lord and served Him all of her life. Sarah “Sally” Ann was born on July 10, 1939, in a farm house in Berwyn, Pa., the daughter of Horace and Esta Sue (Buckwalter) Cunningham. She attended Eastown Elementary School and graduated from the Conestoga High School in 1957.

Sally met the love of her life, Paul Eugene Brannan, and they were united in marriage on July 19, 1958, at the First Baptist Church in Berwyn, Pa. Their first child, Curtis, was stillborn at eight months. Then, Paul Jr., Jeffery Lee, Penny Sue, Cheryl Ann and Robyn Jo were added to the family.

They moved wherever the Lord led them starting with Columbia Bible College in Columbia, S.C. For more than 40 years, Sally worked alongside of her husband serving in a number of churches. She also worked at a roofing company, as a nurse’s aide and a teacher’s aide. She also worked at Hardees, a day care center and a kitchen manager at a Christian camp. But mostly, Sally was a stay at home mom.

Sally was told she had cancer of the left kidney in September 2007. In March of 2008, Sally and her husband moved back to Sidney to be closer to her doctors and the Sidney Health Center. Sally fought that battle until Monday evening, Oct. 12, 2009. She passed away quietly at her home with her family at her side. Sally is now in the presence of the Lord that she loved and served.

She was joyful, loving, longsuffering, faithful, honest, had good humor, hospitable and helpful. Sally enjoyed: scrapbooking, stamping, needlework and being around people. Sally was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Sidney.

Paul Brannan, Sidney; her two sons, Paul “PJ” (Janet) Brannan Jr., Sidney, and Lee (Lorrie) Brannan, Gregory, S.D.; her three daughters, Penny Sue (Ardie) Tyler, Fairview, Okla., Cheryl Ann (Walter) Knudson and Robyn Jo Brannan, all of Sidney; her mother, Esta Sue Cunningham, West Chester, Pa.; her brother, Donald (Bea) Cuningham, Douglas, Mich.; her sister, Vilma (Jim) Thomas, Malvern, Pa.; her 16 grandchildren; and her three great-grandchildren.
