Peggy Schumacker in the 1952 yearbook

Margaret (Peggy) Schumacker Scott of Applebrook in East Goshen Township, PA died on April 2, 2008 at the age of 73. She was a member of the TE High School class of 1952 where she was known especially for her mastery of the harp. After graduating from TE, she entered The Curtis Institute of Music at which harp was her major and piano her minor. Peggy graduated from The Curtis Institute in 1956 and went on to play harp in the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra until she married in 1960. From 1960 until her death she lived in the Philadelphia area. She continued her association with the harp by playing part time in shows at locales such as The Valley Forge Music Fair and The Shubert Theatre in Philadelphia, and she held master classes for harp students at The Curtis Institute. Peggy Schumaker is survived by two sons, two sisters, Betsy (1956) and Barbara (1964) and a brother, Scott.
