On a balmy evening in June 1938 ninety –six students graduated from Tredyffrin Easttown High School --- on a rainy September 27, 2008 four of those students met at Conestoga High School to celebrate their 70th graduation anniversary. They were Henry D’Urbano, Bernice Stauffer Gaillard, H. Allan Moore and Marguerite Pritchard Wagner.

We were delighted with the special arrangements the Committee had made for us. The table was beautifully arranged with a welcome 70th Anniversary sign, and at each place sitting were potted yellow chrysanthemums and a red TE tote bag which contained a framed watercolor picture of the main entrance to TE High School. We felt like Royalty! Following a delicious luncheon, we assembled in the auditorium where we were each recognized by name and given a red rose corsage. One of the fellows mentioned that it was the first time he had ever been given a corsage!

We were all very sorry that more of our classmates were unable to attend. If you are out there and reading this epistle, we hope you are well and will be able to join us for our 71st Reunion --- “the Lord willing and the creek doesn’t rise”!
